Bernalillo Education Grant MI Training Team (from left): Raymond Anderson, William R. Miller, Lindsay Worth, Tara McCune, and Alicia Shiver
This grant, funded through the Bernalillo County Behavioral Health Initiative, aims to increase access to quality training and support to individuals who serve and interact with our behavioral health community. Through this program we will be providing continuous Motivational Interviewing (MI) training and coaching, at no cost, offered in both English and Spanish. Any person who resides in or supports individual(s) with behavioral health needs within Bernalillo County is welcome to participate.

A 13-hour Introduction to MI Workshop will be available monthly, followed by optional coaching groups that are designed to strengthen and support the development of MI skills. All attendees will be asked to complete short surveys before and after training to increase knowledge of community needs and skills development. Attendees will receive 13 CEUs for participation in the Introduction training.
