About the Event
This dynamic day-long training takes participants through a journey of exploring a new theoretical approach to trauma and healing-informed behavioral health for Latinx peoples. Critical Trauma Theory (CTT), with roots in Critical Race and Cumulative, Collective and Cultural Trauma Theories, is defined, with clear strategies for implementation in practice. Participants will learn three CTT-informed innovations in behavioral health treatment. Finally, participants will be given CTT-grounded tools for Radical Self-Care, centered in post-traumatic growth and vicarious resilience, to ensure we all continue to thrive and remain resilient in the work.Â
