This course is designed to introduce non-prescribing clinicians to medications commonly used to treat psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents and empower clinicians to speak at a deeper level with their clients about medications. This course will emphasize the most commonly prescribed psychotropic medications in children including indications, dosage ranges, and possible side effects. 

Dr. Jennifer Schneider, PhD, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at the UNM Children’s Psychiatric Center and formerly worked for a residential treatment center for children and in an early intervention program.
