Eating Disorders affect millions of Americans and are associated with significant psychological and medical comorbidities, including the highest mortality rates of any mental health condition.  However, less than 50% of individuals with eating disorders receive adequate assessment or treatment.  Most mental health and primary care providers do not receive much training nor support in strategies to best evaluate, triage, and treat clients and families suffering from eating disorders.

In this workshop, we build upon the foundational knowledge discussed in the Eating Disorder 101 seminar, to further explore in-depth evaluation and treatment plans for individuals and families, via case based and small group learning. From this session, participants will gain greater familiarity with assessment strategies, comfort in navigating the intricacies of family dynamics and collaborative care planning, and awareness of treatment and referral connections for clients suffering from eating disorders.
