Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for BH Providers with Michelle DuVal (Live, Online Class)

(12 CEU's) $165 per person (for 8 classes) In this 8-week mindfulness class, held ONLINE, via Zoom, every Monday from 9:30-11:00 am, providers will have the opportunity to both practice mindfulness and learn ways to integrate into their work with clients/patients.

About the Event

Classes will occur every Monday from 9:30-11:00 am, there will be no class on August 10.

Learn and develop the life changing skills of mindfulness and meditation in this world renowned program, taught by a true expert in the field.  Progress through a uniquely comprehensive study and practice of mindfulness meditation: what it is and how to do it in our daily lives to reduce stress, manage pain, help with sleep issues, weight issues, healing processes, as well as how it enables our ability to participate in our own health and well-being.  Special attention will be paid in reference to mindfulness for behavioral health professionals, offering hands on exercises for you to share with your clients / patients.  Each participant also receives a set of downloadable guided meditations and a comprehensive e-coursebook. 

Michelle is the director of The Mindful Center, as well as the leading provider of Mindfulness Training in the Southwest United States, with her ongoing programs appearing in such top organizations as Presbyterian Hospitals, the University of New Mexico, Sandia National Laboratories, the New Mexico Heart Institute, the Albuquerque Public School system, the City of Albuquerque, the Department of Energy, and more.

All of her programs and guided meditations are evidence based, steeped in research, and skillfully interweave the profundity of the practice with the humor of insight every step of the way.  Her skill in teaching comes not only from training with some of the top meditation masters in the world, but also from years of learning, practicing, and teaching with her father, Jim DuVal, the founder of The Mindful Center.
