MI with Neurodivergent Clients

Through a neurodivergent affirming lense, Cortny and Alicia will provide an introduction to adapatations in MI when supporting neurodivergent people. As two neurodivergent clinicians and MI trainers, we will provide an overview of literature and lived experience in facilitating MI conversations within this population. Special attention will be given to concepts like autonomy support, collaboration, empowerment, empathy, personal values, and special interests that we hope will become a foundation to better understanding and supporting neurodivergent people through the change process.
