About the Event
This dynamic, interactive training engages clinical supervisors and administrators alike in developing culturally-humble, trauma/healing-centered supervision and administration skills that honor and uplift the cultural and other identity-centered strengths of clinicians doing the work and the clients and communities being served. Building on the presenter’s Critical Trauma Theory, Yosso’s framework for Cultural Capital and Community Wealth, and Relational Cultural Theory, supervisors and administrators will gain an enhanced understanding of and skills to reach beyond culturally competent supervision and programmatic evaluation to relational-cultural practices that are culturally-promotive and sustaining. Also, supervisors and administrators will transcend commonly understood trauma-informed approaches to supervision and programmatic evaluation to meaningfully address oppression toward thriving among employees and programs. Finally, supervisors and administrators will leave with clear strategies for self- and programmatic evaluation that is centered in critical, decolonized methods to immediately employ in their organizations.
