About the Event

Title: Ethical Practices for Navigating Dual Identities & Shared Lived Experience in Supervision


Participants will:

Analyze the ethical implications of shared lived experience and historical/ongoing shared identities with clients and supervisees, and apply at least two strategies for broaching self-disclosure in a way that fosters trust while maintaining professional boundaries.

Differentiate between boundary crossings, boundary violations, and ethical fading in supervision contexts, and implement bracketing and bridling techniques to support ethical decision-making.

Evaluate potential indicators of impaired practice due to life events, and formulate a supervision plan that addresses risk while supporting professional competence and well-being.
